It was a beautiful Saturday morning at the cherry farm when a friend made a startling revelation about her true identity. Though she sometimes dressed up like a man it never crossed my mind that she too likes women.

She’s been with the same woman for 17 long years. Let’s hide their names as Jasper and Amber.

Jasper is married to a man and had a son. Amber, on the other hand, is also married to a man and was blessed with two sons and a daughter. Both had been unhappy with their marriages. Jasper admits she started to like women way before she married her husband. Was she trying to hide her lesbianism? Jasper said she only wanted to live a normal life the main reason why she decides to marry her husband. On the other hand, Amber married her husband who is an overseas contract worker. He is always out of the country for overseas work and would only come home once a year or once every two years. She is straight who happens to fall in love with her lesbian friend.

Lesbians are normal human beings.

In an article entitled, “Sexual Functions in Lesbians and Lesbian Relationships”, published by the Institute for Personal Growth, the American Psychiatric Association officially de-classified homosexuality as a mental illness and most healthcare professional have gradually accepted the view that being lesbian is a sexual variation rather than a disease.

They are normal except that they have unique needs and concerns and people should try to understand that and be open to their unique identities.

The struggle of lesbians for acceptance come in so many ways. An article entitled, “Lesbians and Gays are not abnormal“, it mentioned of Indian lesbians and gays continued fight for their rights for over 15 years. They petitioned for the repeal of Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code.

Lesbians, no matter how they feel towards people of the same sex, are normal. They are just who they are. No matter what people say, lesbians are still God’s creation just like everybody else. People should learn to provide space for every human being to live and love with freedom, dignity and respect irrespective of sexual orientation.

Are you still single? Have you ever wondered why you are still single up to this minute? If you are you might consider taking this short quiz at this cool site onlinedating.org. They have a cute application where you will be asked seven questions. Once you’re done answering, it will do some secret computation and give you an answer to a question you’ve been wondering all your life.

I took the test not once but twice and it gave me the same answer. Well, it says I’m single because ” I believe that any species that can’t work a toilet seat is inferior”.  It’s not the result that I expect to get but that’s what it is after the second round.

For those of you who have partners, you can still try it out and probably it will give you an answer why you’ve been single years before. Try it out and share your results in the comments area.

Are you a lesbian and is hiding your true identity from the people around you? You are not alone.

There are a lot of lesbians and gay people out there who are keeping their best secrets to themselves for fear of rejection. This is especially true to women in the corporate world. While falling in love to the person of the same sex is quite easy if you really like the person, coming out is the hardest thing to do. You may want to be free and be happy with who you are but the fear is always there.

What will people say? Will my family accept me for who I am? These are the type of questions that usually comes to mind everytime one thinks of coming out. Some people are good at keeping or hiding it from family and friends, while others doesn’t care at all.
