In America it states:

Priority Seating! Federal law requires that these seats be available to persons with disabilities and to seniors. But what happens when those who have already taken the seats do not want to give it up?

This usually happens during rush hours, usually in the afternoon. After office hours, people are mostly tired and want to be home with their families. Some of these folks even fall asleep while waiting for their next stops. So, whenever an elderly person gets in to ride nobody cares because either one is too tired and too sleepy to move or give away his/her seat.

This is what happened one afternoon.

An elderly woman tried to convince a lady to give up her seat insisting that the seat is reserved for seniors and persons with disabilities. The lady however did not give up her seat. Fortunately enough, a guy offered his seat. The old woman was grateful and said to him, “Oh, you look as though you are a senior too.” Then people started to laugh and smile at what the old woman said. Then a lady near the guy looked at him and said, “I hope it does not hurt your feelings.” The guy shakes his head and said no. Then the elderly said, “What I meant is you should be the last person to offer your seat.”

Priority seating! It’s the law. The elderly deserve some serious consideration even if there is no law. They deserve some respect and, while they may be mean sometimes, it is how they should be treated.

Jandi-

I need some perspective. I fell in love with a woman from work back in February. She’s 10 years older (I’m 39, she’s 49), and married (for 13 years), with a 5 year old son. She was with women prior to getting married, and her husband knew of her bisexuality prior to them marrying. She married a man, she says, because the lesbian drama and break-up was too much for her to handle: she wanted something stable and less emotional. Now she’s emotionally starved and she and her husband get along terribly; they fight constantly even in front of their son and guests, they have no emotional connection (her husband says he’s incapable of “doing the emotional connection thing,” and they haven’t had sex in more than 2 years. (The no sex thing is confirmed by her husband, by the way.)

We didn’t intend to start anything, but as we became closer friends, an emotional and then sexual relationship developed. She’s very hesitant to leave her marriage due to the impact on her son and also on her elderly parents. But she’s also made clear that she wants to be with me. She and her husband and son are away together for the summer, and she’s asked for no contact from me until they return in late August. We had several fights in the days leading up to her departure, and I’m afraid I’ve scared her off. I’m afraid I’m being played, but I also know that she told her husband about us prior to leaving for the summer. They did a few couples therapy sessions prior to leaving where she was able to talk about me, and her need for an emotional relationship, and the possibility that she would go back to women. On the other hand, she never promised to leave her marriage for me; not until the last day before she left, when she told me 4 times that she promised to come back to me. She never says things lightly, and has always faced-up to saying the truth, even if it’s difficult for me to hear.

I don’t know what to believe. I feel like my mind is playing games on me….partly saying I should be done with her, and other parts saying I should definitely wait. I’m a total mess with this flip-flopping. Plus this no contact thing is excruciating–and I haven’t been perfect at it (I’ve sent 2 texts in the 2 weeks since she left, with no response to either.) I’m sick about this whole thing.

What’s your experience with these kinds of situations? Where do things go? How should I prepare? How do I make it through another 8 weeks?

It was a beautiful Saturday morning at the cherry farm when a friend made a startling revelation about her true identity. Though she sometimes dressed up like a man it never crossed my mind that she too likes women.

She’s been with the same woman for 17 long years. Let’s hide their names as Jasper and Amber.

Jasper is married to a man and had a son. Amber, on the other hand, is also married to a man and was blessed with two sons and a daughter. Both had been unhappy with their marriages. Jasper admits she started to like women way before she married her husband. Was she trying to hide her lesbianism? Jasper said she only wanted to live a normal life the main reason why she decides to marry her husband. On the other hand, Amber married her husband who is an overseas contract worker. He is always out of the country for overseas work and would only come home once a year or once every two years. She is straight who happens to fall in love with her lesbian friend.

It all started with the game of mahjong, a game of Chinese origin usually played by four persons with tiles resembling dominoes and bearing various designs, which are drawn and discarded until one player wins with a hand of four combination of three tiles each and a pair of matching tiles. A common friend normally invites the two to play with a group of women. To make the story short, things between the two started to develop to the surprise of everyone.

Amber explains that there is something she cannot explain that she really likes about Jasper. Jasper, on the other hand, states that she too felt the same way about Amber.

It was a shared love that they cannot explain. Both admitted that during the 17 years that they’ve been together there were ups and downs in the relationship, but one thing, they said, that strongly binds them together is their true and unconditional love for each other.

It was that kind of love that both Jasper and Amber proudly said that made their lesbian relationship last for 17 long years. Asked as to what kind of love they felt for each other, both shared that it is that kind of love that is unconditional where you want only the best thing to happen for your partner. It’s true love where two hearts beat as one.

Jasper shared that the deepest secret to their lesbian relationship is when every time they are faced with a problem, they let their love for each other come in. She indicated that when there is love there is no problem or misunderstanding you cannot solve.

Indeed it is the most common secret among relationships that last very long. It is that kind of love that is hard to explain that will dictate oneself to give in to the other person we truly love and care about. If love is always present in the lesbian relationship then there is no reason why it cannot last long.

Jasper and Amber were both happy to share their true love for each other and they still do not have plans of letting each other go. Both are now in their early 50′s and happily live together as one under one roof.

If you value a person, it can make you jealous when there is a perceived threat, real or imaginary, in your relationship towards that person.

For example, a woman who fell in love with a lesbian because she made her feel she had “finally come home” to a safe and secure place can experience the most painful aspect of her jealousy as “feeling abandoned and all alone” if something goes wrong with their lesbian relationship.

Jealousy cannot be avoided. It can even sometimes blind you. It can distract you so much so that it can even affect your ability to see clearly what’s right from wrong.

While some tend to shy away from people who are the jealous type, some prefer to have them because it proves that true love exists in the relationship.

If you are tormented when your lesbian partner looks at someone else or if your imagination torture you with romantic scenarios that don’t include you, you may already be experiencing jealousy. Jealousy is a real life issue that plagues many relationships including lesbian relationships.

If your jealousy is causing you to feel scared and afraid that your lesbian partner will leave you for someone else and you will be left alone, talk it out with your partner before it gets worse. However, if your jealousy is something that is out-of-control and constant questions are bombarded to your lesbian partner, questions like — where have you been, who you’ve been with and what you were doing, these can sometimes irritate her that can lead to mistrust and misunderstanding in your lesbian relationship.

When there is love, there is jealousy. Who doesn’t? The reality is you will get tormented when your lesbian partner looks at someone else.
